CBC/Radio Canada’s Catherine Tait to Deliver Keynote at Content Canada 2022

Content Canada is proud to announce that Catherine Tait, President & CEO, CBC/Radio-Canada, will deliver a Keynote address at Content Canada, taking place on September 13 & 14, 2022 in Toronto at The Drake Hotel.

At a time rife with upheaval and polarization, CBC/Radio-Canada's role as a force for social cohesion and national unity is more important than ever. And, Canada's independent producers, filmmakers, and creators remain the cornerstone of the public broadcaster's commitment to promote Canadian culture and reflect contemporary Canada. In the most competitive global marketplace of unlimited content and ideas, Catherine Tait will join us on Content Canada’s Session Stage to share a vision for how the public broadcaster stakes its claim on a distinctive, compelling and deeply Canadian role.

Also taking place on Content Canada’s Session Stage, join CBC, BIPOC TV & Film and the Canadian Film Centre (CFC) for a behind-the-scenes look at the recently announced CBC-BIPOC TV & Film Showrunner Catalyst Program. Hear from leadership from CBC, BIPOC TV & Film and the CFC, who will be joined by the program’s inaugural participants, for a discussion of the origins of the Catalyst and its envisioned goals; how the first year is unfolding; and what broader work still needs to be done to ultimately transform the industry to truly reflect today’s Canada.
